Who does not qualify

  • The child is cared for full time in a state institution

Documents you need

  • The child's birth certificate
  • Medical reports about the child's disability
  • Proof of income, or a court order if you are the foster parent

How to apply

  1. Visit a SASSA office to book the medical assessment.
  2. Take the child to the assessment with all medical records.
  3. Complete the application at SASSA after the assessment.
